Will She Come Back to Me?
Dear Intuitive Esmeralda,
I am in love with my friend S. We were staying together for the past 5 months. I love her a lot but she comes across as a very casual person when it comes to handling our relationship. She says she too loves me a lot and would like me to be her life partner but she is confused. She says she is being forced by her parents to marry her ex boyfriend and she does not want to go against their wishes. She says she will marry him and not me.
Please help me – tell me if our relationship can work. I don’t want to lose this girl. We have a deep bond. I am very confused. Will she come back to me?
Dear Confused,
It is most unfortunate that you love this girl as you do, for she will never do you any good at all. The sad truth is that you give away your personal power by caring for her so much. She will do as she has told you she must – she will marry the other man, if she has not done so already.
Your time of confusion and pain is almost over. Soon you will wake up one day and realize that this was the best outcome for you. You will regain your power, you will value yourself more than you do today and you will be at peace with this loss. You will even recognize the necessity for her decision, in a way you do not yet appreciate.
It is not because she didn’t love you, Dear One – she did. It feels to Esmeralda as if these other circumstances were in place before you two fell in love, and she knew in her heart that someday she would leave you. She is a pawn in a bigger game, and she has very little power within it.
You have not yet seen her clearly. You rather idealized her, gave her more credit than she deserved, so to speak. Esmeralda is not saying she is a bad person – merely that you saw her through “rose-colored glasses”. In time you will be more realistic, and you will have no regrets.
You are best advised to put your energy into career goals at this time. Your choice of career in the airline industry, and especially based in another country, will suit you very well. But you have some obstacles to overcome. Best to get busy with those challenges and again you will increase your feelings of power and competence in the world.
All is not lost in matters of romance – far from it. There is someone a bit younger than you around you now who quite likes you although you have not taken her seriously. This is not the love of your life – that comes later. But it is confirmation that you are interesting and attractive, and Esmeralda hopes you will get that message and heal from your loss as quickly as possible.
